New men’s store specializes in large sizes
A growing men’s retailer has opened in Sioux Falls.
Destination XL Group Inc. has opened a DXL Men’s Apparel location at 3502 W. 41st St. in the same strip mall where its former brand, Casual Male XL, had a location for several years.
The Destination XL brand caters to men who wear a waist size of 38 and greater, with apparel including tall sizes and extended shoe sizes.
“The DXL Men’s Apparel store was built with the bigger guy in mind and directly addresses needs he’s expressed through customer feedback and focus groups,” said David Levin, president and CEO of Destination XL Group Inc. “Our customers seek choices, value, convenience and a unique shopping experience, which DXL stores offer. Before DXL Men’s Apparel stores, these guys were relegated to shopping at the end of the rack in department stores.”
Brands include Michael Kors, Tommy Hilfiger, Lucky Brand Jeans, Nautica and Robert Graham, plus exclusive XL items from Brooks Brothers and Reebok, and private-label brands.
DXL has locations through the U.S., Canada and England.
Hours at the Sioux Falls store are 10 a.m. to 9 p .m Monday through Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.
