New Harrisburg C-store to offer Godfather’s Pizza

March 9, 2022

A Watertown-based cooperative is expanding its footprint to the Sioux Falls area with the construction of a gas station and convenience store with a Godfather’s Pizza Express on the north side of Harrisburg.

Sioux Valley Cooperative is working toward an opening date in early May and will offer Cenex-branded fuel, including diesel, said Haley Rawsthrone, human resources director.

“Our CEO is always looking for opportunities,” she said. “Harrisburg is a growing location. It’s a prime location for us to put in a C-store there.”

The C-store along North Cliff Avenue will carry typical merchandise along with a beer cave, wine, doughnuts, soft-serve ice cream and grab-and-go salads and sandwiches.

The Godfather’s Pizza Express will have mini and large sizes. Grab-and-go options will be available, along with made-to-order pizzas. Customers will be able to order online for pickup. For breakfast, Godfather’s will offer pizzas, pizza rolls and sandwiches.

Sioux Valley Co-op will offer New England Coffee and Caribou Coffee self-serve machines. Customers can use a propane tank exchange station and buy firewood.

Hours will be 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, with 24/7 fuel access.

The co-op has two C-stores in Watertown and locations in Webster and Roslyn, along with several unmanned fuel stations in northeast South Dakota.

It also provides bulk fuel and propane to farmers.

The co-op is including extra room in the Harrisburg building for a co-tenant such as a coffee shop, restaurant or bank, marketing manager Abby Johnson said. The tenant will be able to lease 1,900 square feet of space and will have room for a double-lane drive-thru on the north side of the building.
