New event hall breaks ground in Lennox

Oct. 14, 2022

Construction has started on a new event venue in Lennox.

The Prosper Country Warehouse & Event Hall is just east of town on 278th Street. It plans to host events from weddings to graduation parties.

It’s owned by Dustin and Allie McLouth. Dustin is a science teacher in the Lennox School District, while Allie previously owned a child care business.

“God has led me to and through a lot of places,” Allie McLouth said in a statement. “Prosper is definitely the ‘end game.’ A legacy we hope to leave behind for our children and their children to prosper in. Peska Construction has been so helpful and available throughout this entire process and have truly helped this vision come together.”

When construction is complete, the Prosper Country Warehouse & Event Hall will be a 9,500-square-foot facility capable of hosting up to 375 people. The space is customizable and features amenities such as a bridal suite, groom’s den, kitchen, games, inflatables and a large patio in the back facing open fields.

“Starting a new business and moving to Lennox was quite an adjustment,” McLouth said. “But the community, teachers and city administration have been so helpful and welcoming! We are so excited to see how everything truly manifests and comes together.”

The venue complements other tourism in the area, said Ryan Solberg, an economic development specialist with Sioux Metro Growth Alliance, which provides staff support to the Lennox Area Development Corporation.

“Tourism has always been what I would call a quiet sector for the local economy,” he said. “Between events like Old Fashioned Fourth of July and baseball tournaments, Lennox receives thousands of visitors a year that help support local businesses, but tourism is not something you’d easily associate with the community. I think that Prosper will nicely complement some of those other businesses and be a big asset for the entire area.”

Bringing people to the community leads to spending at gas stations, restaurants and other businesses that “can be a huge boost to local employment and sales tax growth,” said Jesse Fonkert, president and CEO of Sioux Metro Growth Alliance.

“Prosper Country Warehouse should really help Lennox continue its strong growth and be a nice addition to the local tax base.”

The facility plans to open in January 2023. To learn more and book events, click here.
