National fitness business opens in Tea with focus on youth athletes

Aug. 12, 2024

When Bryce Snyder parted ways with his career in corporate sales, he said he knew he wanted to do something more in the community.

Franchising Redline Athletics “just made sense,” he said.

“When I discovered Redline Athletics, I knew I wanted to help bring that to our community,” said Snyder, who played college basketball and was part of UPA powerlifting events until 2020.

Redline Athletics is a national sports performance brand with locations across the country. The gym at 2325 Enterprise Ave. in Tea offers multiple classes a day for youth age 8 to 18.

“We have four to five strength and conditioning classes a day for youth currently,” Snyder said. “And we offer both private and semiprivate classes. We pride our 1-to-10 ratio for coaches to students.”

The goal is that every athlete gets the individual attention they need, Snyder said.

He plans to introduce training sessions for adults in the mornings in a few weeks.

“We’re equipped with NCAA equipment and a 10,000-square-foot building,” Snyder said. “Redline also is the only company that can offer flex memberships.”

Redline Athletics has patented the flex membership, which means students can toggle their membership to limited classes, Snyder said.

“For example, if you’re out of town one week, you can change your membership to ‘away’ and it’s just a $5 fee,” Snyder said. “Another week if you can only make a couple classes, you can toggle it to the limited. Essentially, you just pay for what you need.”

“We love the location so far and so do parents we’ve heard,” Snyder said. “We’re easy to get to and have a VIP room for parents who stay during classes.”

Summer hours include midmorning and late-afternoon classes, with noon to 3 p.m. set aside for camps.

“The biggest thing for me is building character development in our athletes,” Snyder said. “I always say ‘we’re not just building champion athletes, we’re building champions of character.'”

Youth athletes have the opportunity to earn character bands, which are earned through showing good character such as integrity, effort, and leadership.

“Your kid can go on to be a D1 athlete or learn how to be more healthy here,” Snyder said. “We offer something different and for everyone.”
