  • Spirit of Leadership: Bailey Ode, a nurse manager at Bethany Meadows in Brandon. She has worked there for two years and is studying to become a registered nurse.
  • Spirit of Enthusiasm: Madison Honken, a licensed practical nurse at Bethany Home in Sioux Falls. She has worked there for six years.
  • Spirit of Mission: Kass Leonhardt, an HR recruiter at Bethany Home in Sioux Falls for almost three years.
  • Spirit of Service: Gekenzy Brown, a cook at Bethany Home in Sioux Falls for almost two years .
  • Spirit of Heroism: April Lalley, a laundry aide at Bethany Home in Sioux Falls for almost three years.
  • Legacy Award: Dr. Dan Heinemann, medical director.

Showplace Cabinetry

Designer Carissa Trygstad of Showplace Cabinetry earned third place at the 2026 KCMA Design Awards for the project “Historic Charm, Modern Heart.” The project included the remodeling of a house in central Sioux Falls that is more than 100 years old. Trygstad’s work in the kitchen blended classic architecture with modern updates. The color of the cabinets and woodwork was inspired by original wallpaper found in the home.
