Connor Hurley has joined First National Wealth Management as a personal trust officer. Hurley has four years of experience in financial services, previously working at firms in Minneapolis and Sioux Falls as a financial adviser.
American Heart Association
Four Sioux Falls-area leaders are among 10 South Dakotans who have been named to the American Heart Association’s statewide advocacy and engagement committee. Heather Krause of Sioux Falls, a senior strategist for Mayo Clinic, will chair the committee. Local members are Mick Gibbs of Avera Heart Hospital, Dean Lanier of Tea of Lumen Technologies and Debra Owen of Owen Consulting.

Jason Long has been promoted to director of ag for First Bank & Trust, a new position for the bank that serves 17 communities in South Dakota and Minnesota. He most recently served as a community bank president and before that spent most of his career in ag banking.

Helpline Center
Amy Carter has joined the Helpline Center as chief operating officer. Carter most recently served as the program director for the Children’s Home Shelter for Family Safety, with previous roles with national health organizations and early childhood program development. She worked at the Helpline Center from 1998 to 2007 in various roles, most notably assisting with the launch of 211.

KLJ Engineering
Kurt Zmich has been named president and CEO of KLJ Engineering. Zmich, the firm’s chief operating officer, had been serving as acting CEO. He joined KLJ in 2022 with multiple years of executive leadership experience in the industry and is based St. Louis Park, Minnesota, one of 25 locations for KLJ, which includes Sioux Falls.
