Alec Wegner to officer at the bank and branch manager of the Arrowhead location. He has worked at the bank for four years and previously served as a personal banker at the 57th and Minnesota location.

Alex Haverly to treasury management supervisor. He has worked at the bank for five years and previously served as a cash management specialist.

Blake Chesley to business banker and officer. He has worked at the bank for a year.

Lexis Cramer to assistant vice president at the bank and branch manager of the 57th and Minnesota location. She joined the bank in December 2021 and previously served as branch manager of the Arrowhead location.

The First National Bank in Sioux Falls has won an Advisor Podcast Award for “Common Cents on the Prairie.” Chief wealth management officer Adam Cox hosts the podcast’s monthly episodes. The award recognizes the bank’s commitment to providing financial education.

 

Sanford Health

Jared Antczak

Jared Antczak, the chief digital officer at Sanford Health, is a panelist this week at the Modern Healthcare Leadership Symposium in Scottsdale, Arizona. The panel discussion will focus on the future of digital health care. Antczak joined Sanford earlier this year as the health care system grows its virtual care initiative, recently breaking ground on its Virtual Care Center, which will serve as a hub for a network of virtual clinics and telehealth services.

Jenna Harrison

Jenna Harrison has joined TSP Inc. as a mechanical engineer-in-training and is pursuing a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from SDSU. She previously worked as a graduate research assistant at SDSU and completed an internship at the Sanford Underground Research Facility in Lead.

Tim Kessler

Tim Kessler of Aberdeen has joined the American Bank & Trust board of directors. Kessler owns and operates Kessler’s grocery store and Big Shot Pheasant Fields, a 1,040-acre pheasant hunting operation. He served as chairman of the South Dakota Game Fish & Parks Commission and also has served as a member of the national boards of directors for Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever.

Caliber has hired Jessica Ferrie as an account executive. She has several years of customer service and business development experience in a range of industries.

Kyle Pickner

Plains Commerce Bank chief trust officer Kyle Pickner has been named a 40 Under 40 Emerging Leader in the digital bankers category by the Independent Community Bankers Association. Pickner believes education is the best strategy for bridging the gap between traditional finance and cryptocurrency. With his extensive expertise in blockchain technology and digital assets, he is leading the Plains Commerce team in bringing industry-first digital asset solutions to the market.

Raven Industries

Great Place to Work and Fortune magazine have named Raven Industries as one of the 2022 Best Workplaces in Manufacturing & Production. This is Raven’s second time on the list, coming in at 16th place, compared with 17th place in 2021. The award is based on analysis of survey responses from employees. In that survey, 83 percent of Raven’s team members said the company is a great place to work, compared with 57 percent at the average U.S. company. To be considered, companies must be a Great Place to Work-certified organization, which Raven has been since 2020.

Sioux Falls VA Health Care System

The Sioux Falls VA Health Care System has received the Most Improved in Outpatient Experience Award for fiscal 2021 from the Veterans Health Administration. The Sioux Falls primary care outpatient clinic’s score went from 72.6 percent to 83.5 percent.

SDSU

Vernon Brown

Vernon Brown has been hired as the associate vice president for external affairs at South Dakota State University, pending approval by the South Dakota Board of Regents. The position will lead SDSU Connect and the university’s work with key stakeholders, collaborations and strategic initiatives in the Sioux Falls area. Brown is a 1990 graduate of SDSU.
