A walk-in facial bar has found a location in Sioux Falls.

Face Foundrie, a Minnesota-based franchise offering skin care and facial services both by appointment and for walk-in customers, has leased a space at Empire Place.

It will be located in the same retail center that will house Verizon Wireless. The new development in front of The Empire Mall includes Chipotle and several businesses that are getting ready to open.

“I love it,” said Raquel Blount of Lloyd Cos., who leased the space.

“It’s just coming together better than we could have even expected in terms of the uses working together.”

Owners Todd and Sherri Kanzenbach said the location is ideal because they’ll serve some of the same clientele as neighboring businesses.

Though the Kanzenbachs live in Minnesota, both have Sioux Falls connections and said they’re very familiar with the city.

“We’re just trying to bring a new concept into the community, a focus on an efficient, effective facial bar that gives you affordable skin care and is accessible,” Sherri Kanzenbach said.

Face Foundrie first opened in 2019 in Edina, Minnesota, and is expanding with dozens of franchise locations.

Services include 20- or 40-minute facials, brow services such as waxing and laminating, and lash services.

The Kanzenbachs discovered Face Foundrie when their daughter, Ally Kanzenbach, was working at the location in Maple Grove, Minnesota.

Ally Kanzenbach was interested in taking the franchise to Denver, where she’s now scouting locations, and in the process, her parents decided to join the Face Foundrie franchise as well.

They’re aiming for a November opening date in Sioux Falls.

“It’ll be high quality,” Todd Kanzenbach said. “It’s all going to be advanced, practiced estheticians.”
