Midco’s chief operating officer soon will take on the dual role of president and COO.

Ben Dold will succeed Tom McAdaragh as the company’s president, effective Jan. 1.

McAdaragh is moving toward retirement and taking on an advisory role.

“I’m proud to have led various technology and operations teams at Midco. Our best-in-class network and high-performing applications are accomplishments I share with the team,” McAdaragh said in a statement. “As my dad liked to say, ‘life is a journey and not a destination.’ I’m looking forward to forging my next route.”

Dold has been with Midco, which provides internet, TV and home phone services across five states, since 2010 and has served as COO since the start of 2023.

“I’m confident that Tom’s contributions at Midco will stand the test of time, helping Midco keep its top spot in the marketplace for years to come,” chair and CEO Pat McAdaragh said. “I’m excited to see Ben seize this new opportunity and build on Midco’s 93 years of success. Ben is prepared for this role and will fearlessly lead the company in the future.”

Dold describes himself as honored and excited to step into his new role.
