Meta Financial Group has been named to Fortune’s annual list of the 100 fastest-growing companies for the second consecutive year.

The Sioux Falls fintech company jumped 40 spots to rank No. 24, joining the likes of Netflix, Amazon and Facebook in the top 25.

Meta is one of only 14 banking and financial services companies on the list this year, and the only one in the top 25.

Companies are selected for the list based on three-year growth rates in revenues, earnings per share and total shareholder return.

“We are proud to be included on this list for the second year in a row,” Meta chairman and CEO Tyler Haahr said. “We don’t simply grow for growth’s sake but rather to enhance returns to our shareholders. This recognition is a testament to our disciplined, strategic and profitable expansion.”

Meta Financial Group is the holding company for the financial services company MetaBank. Founded in 1954, MetaBank has grown to operate in several financial sectors: payments, tax services, national commercial lending, community banking, national consumer lending and insurance premium financing.
