A prepared-meal business that focuses on healthy food is closing.

Healthy M.E. is taking online orders until the end of the month and will continue to stock grab-and-go meals at Science Nutrition stores until mid- to late May.

“Right now, I’m just stepping back to focus on my family,” said owner Yung Ring, who started the business at 1712 S. Minnesota Ave. two years ago. She and her husband have three children.

The final online menu features customer favorites like chicken pad thai, Dijon pork with wild rice and chocolate caramel coconut pancakes. Meals come in individual portion sizes.

Ring, who grew up immersed in the food service industry – her parents owned the east-side Kowloon Chinese Restaurant – said there’s a chance that she’ll return to her cooking career someday.
