The Empire Mall is holding onto summer with a traveling carnival this weekend.

It runs through Sunday, with 20 rides including a Ferris wheel, Tilt-A-Whirl and classic carousel. Vendors also are selling carnival food, including cotton candy and funnel cake.

“The Empire Mall is always on the hunt for new and exhilarating ways to engage with the local community,” said Kirsten Schaffer, director of marketing and business development at the mall. “We are excited to close out the summer season with a family-friendly carnival for the public to enjoy.”

Guests can experience the carnival starting at 5 p.m. today and 1 p.m. on the weekend. It closes at 11 p.m.
