Destination marketing organizations such as Experience Sioux Falls are strong believers that there’s no better advocate for your destination than those who live there. That’s why Experience Sioux Falls is leveraging a variety of local people and businesses to help share the Sioux Falls story.

Experience Sioux Falls recently launched a campaign called “Sioux Falls Sourced,” which encourages people to sign up to win a box full of locally sourced products made right here in Sioux Falls. There will be 50 boxes mailed out each season to randomly selected leisure consumers and 10 planning professionals to get a taste of what our city has to offer.

The ultimate goal is to get the leisure consumers to visit Sioux Falls and the planning professionals to book their group business in Sioux Falls.

The first fall box will include:

  • Dagger & Arrow Diablo Verde Serrano Hot Sauce.
  • Sweetgrass Soapery Cozy Soap.
  • The Spice & Tea Exchange Spiced Ruby Cider Herbal Tea.
  • Inca Salsa.
  • Little Shire Cinnamon Cardamom Honey.
  • Simply Perfect Freedom Candle.

“Sioux Falls would not be what it is today without our small businesses, so we wanted to put a spotlight on a few of them for both visitors and residents to enjoy,” said Teri Schmidt, executive director for Experience Sioux Falls.

The registration period for the first box is open through the end of October, and then a new winter box will be available in November. Spring and summer boesx will follow through July 2022.

But that’s not all. Experience Sioux Falls also has been featuring local people in the new “We Are Sioux Falls” video series. The series was created to showcase the many different people and businesses that make Sioux Falls a great place to visit.

The most recent video touches on just a few of the fantastic food and drink options to enjoy in Sioux Falls. This is the fourth video in the series, with more to come.

“Visual storytelling is the best way to reach an audience, and we are proud to be able to showcase our city in this light” said Krista Orsack, director of marketing for Experience Sioux Falls.
