A luxury medical spa patterned after others in larger markets has opened in Sioux Falls.

Infinity Medical Aesthetics is at 2001 W. Trevi Place, near 85th Street and Western Avenue.

Co-owner Justin Laird decided to open the medical spa after learning about the demand for services through his salon suite business, Rogue Salon Suites.

“I had a (certified) nurse practitioner there, Jerica (Merkwan) who is now a partner in this business and got to learn about the aesthetics industry and where it’s going,” he said. “It seemed like Sioux Falls was in need of more facilities and bigger facilities, and that’s what we did.”

At 6,600 square feet with 13 procedure rooms, Infinity is the largest medical spa in the market, Laird said. The design is inspired by facilities in larger cities “that are more prevalent and have been for years,” he said.

Services offered include injectables, skin and body treatments and aesthetics services. Brittany Wangsness, a doctor of nursing, is a co-owner with Laird, and there are 11 employees so far.

“It really has that luxury spa feel,” Laird said. “It’s a great spot, and we know that’s going to be one of the most highly trafficked areas in south Sioux Falls very soon. It’s going to be a great intersection, so we’re really excited to get it.”

Hours are by appointment from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
