It turned out this #ScenesFromTheRoute in Harrisburg was actually the home of its mayor, Derick Wenck, who doubles as a taxidermist and had his most recent assignment perched in front of the garage. He filled us in on how he’d just put it out when the photo must have been taken.

The owner of the giraffe? Well, we heard from him too. It’s Sioux Falls business owner Adam Balding, who has spent two years waiting for the giraffe to arrive and plans to make its future home in his office. Thanks to the owner and the mayor for filling us in — and everyone else in the know who did too. 🙂
