Indoor play cafe opens near Harrisburg

Jan. 14, 2026

A new indoor play space and cafe is finding a following in the Harrisburg area.

At Stones Coffee and Play, which opened last fall, there’s a little something for everyone. It’s a relaxing play place for kids 6 months through 8 years old and a full-service coffee bar for everyone else.

Owner Alexi Bonte always dreamed of owning a coffee shop, and after her son Stone was born, the business model evolved into a true family-friendly place.

“A space became available, and it all fell into place,” Bonte said.

“There aren’t many places where kids can go off to play indoors and parents or guardians can have a full view of the child and enjoy a beverage at the same time,” she said.

“We want guests to come enjoy a coffee, relax and watch their children play.”

The play area is clean and features muted tones designed to be gentle for kids instead of overstimulating bright colors. In addition to play structures, kids will find a dollhouse, magnetic tiles, a rock wall, roller coaster car and more.

“There didn’t seem to be anything else in the surrounding area like it,” she said.

Bonte sells coffee, chai teas, espresso drinks and smoothies, and the coffee shop is expanding with seasonal offerings each month.

Families can pay to play or just stop and grab drinks.

For a two-hour session, the fee is $10 for kids 1 and older and $5 for infants 6 to 11 months.

Also available are gift cards, punch cards and memberships ranging from $40 to $105.

Find Stones Coffee and Play at 27294 Kenworth Place, Suite 1. That’s in a commercial area at the northeast corner of Interstate 29 and 273rd Street.

With varying hours, it’s best to check the Facebook page for information.
