A pair of businesses owned by a husband and wife are bringing new services to Harrisburg.

PhysioLife 605, owned by Trever Wagner, and Bare Skin Aesthetics + Wellness, owned by Ashley Wagner, are meant to offer the growing community a holistic approach to healing through physical therapy and medical aesthetics.

After starting their careers and family in Rapid City, the Wagners decided last year that it was time to move closer to family.

“We have three little kids, so we decided it was just time to get back home and closer to grandparents and cousins. Having that family support was important for us,” Ashley Wagner said.

Their two businesses opened late last year and are located in the same space in a retail center at 220 S. Cliff Ave. in Harrisburg.

The couple’s passion for helping others began in college.

“My undergrad was in athletic training, so I love working with people, of course, as far as rehabilitating their injuries and getting their pain under control that they’re experiencing,” Trever Wagner said.

Ashley Wagner, a former urgent care nurse, began pursuing medical aesthetics on the side while in Rapid City.

“I went into nursing in general just wanting to help people. I love educating people about health and wellness,” she said

PhysioLife 605 treats a variety of patients, including those with sports and athletic injuries, chronic joint and muscle pain, post-surgical rehabilitation and other conditions. It also offers a variety of physical therapy treatments, including instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization, cupping and athletic taping, along with functional dry needling, which is the most popular treatment.

“The difference between acupuncture and (functional dry needling) is it’s more of that different technique,” Trever Wagner said.

Bare Skin Aesthetics + Wellness also offers a variety of services, covering both functional medicine and popular aesthetic procedures. The most popular service is IV therapy, but Ashley Wagner also offers microneedling, HydraFacials, Botox, fillers and other regenerative, anti-aging services.

“My motto is when you look good, you feel good; when you feel good, you look good,” Ashley Wagner  said. “When I can fix you on the inside with your vitamin deficiencies and fix you on the outside with aesthetics, we’re making the perfect world.”

She attributes the popularity of IV therapy to the benefits her patients see from absorbing 100 percent of nutrients, compared with vitamins and supplements.

Despite operating as separate businesses, collaboration is one of their greatest strengths, the couple said.

“We’re trying to go for that multidisciplinary approach,” Trever Wagner said.

The ultimate goal for both is similar, Ashley Wagner added.

“Basically, just helping that patient look and feel better. Whatever that means to them. And that’s kind of our goal: how we can both help work that together,” she said.

Along with family support, the Wagners said they chose Harrisburg because it’s a growing community.

“We wanted a smaller, hometown feel. We’re a family-owned, small business, and so we wanted to kind of bring that family-owned atmosphere into the clinic here,” Trever Wagner said.

“Our patients are our family members and not just a number in the book. I feel like we’re more of a community member than just another business,” Ashley Wagner said.

Hours for PhysioLife 605 are 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7:30 a.m. to noon Friday.

Hours for Bare Skin Aesthetics are 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday.
