Home on neighborhood’s private road tops sales report at $1.7M

Two homes topped the million-dollar mark for the the most expensive residential sales for the week of July 31.

The top sale was $1.7 million for a home on a private road in the Lazy Ridge development on the south side of Sioux Falls.

The 4,500-square-foot home was built in 2005 on a half-acre lot. It has five bedrooms and four bathrooms. Features include a walk-in pantry, cultured stone fireplace in the great room and a four-season room leading to a large deck. The backyard has a basketball sport court, hot tub and built-in fire pit.

The No. 2 sale was $1.3 million for a home in the Old Orchard Addition neighborhood in southeast Sioux Falls. It was built in 1988 on an almost 1-acre lot. The 5,400-square-foot home has six bedrooms and four bathrooms. Features include a wraparound deck overlooking a parklike backyard with an inground swimming pool.
