Here’s your guide to shopping, food, entertainment at Sunday’s 605 Made Night Market

The 605 Made Night Market on Sunday, Aug. 29, will offer the chance to shop, dine, drink and be entertained with lion dancers, a magician, fire dancers, live music and more in an outdoor setting under the lights.

More than two dozen makers will offer a fabulous mix of handcrafted items. Food trucks will offer everything from Chicago dogs, burritos and hamburgers with bacon jam to SDSU Ice Cream, kettle corn and Asian bubble tea. Ode to Food & Drinks will serve beer, wine, cocktails and nonalcoholic beverages. The Sioux Falls Lion Dance will kick off the entertainment with a traditional good-luck start to the market. After that, a half-dozen performers will keep the crowd entertained.

The market will be from 12 to 6 p.m. in the parking lot at Cherapa Place, which is on the east bank of the river between Sixth and Eighth streets. For easy access, enter from Sixth Street. Admission is free.

The 605 Made Night Market is organized by Knotty Gnome Variety & Salvage and SiouxFalls.Business and sponsored by The First National Bank of Sioux Falls and Dow Rummel Village.

Here’s the entertainment lineup:

  • 12 p.m.: Sioux Falls Lion Dance
  • 12:30 p.m.: Professional yo-yoist Ty Duffy, junior national yo-yo champion
  • 1 p.m.: Link West, old-time Americana and FM hits
  • 2 p.m.: Magician Travis Nye of Spellbound Magic Shop & Theatre
  • 2:30 p.m.: Jazz a Tres, jazz trio of trombone, saxophone and guitar that performs songs from the Great American Songbook, jazz standards and Broadway favorites
  • 4 p.m.: Back Alley, folk and folk rock music
  • 5 p.m.: Fire performance by Maria and Keri

605 Night Market shifts street-level entertainment approach — and wait until you see it

Here are the food trucks that will be there:

  • Backyard BBQ: Pulled pork, brisket and smoked chicken sandwiches; pork ribs; and sides.
  • Breaking Burrito: Burritos, tacos, quesadillas and tamales
  • Murph’s: Burgers and fries, including the Famous Murph Burger with bacon jam
  • Windy City Bites: Chicago hot dogs, Vienna polish sausages, Italian beef sandwiches, jerk chicken nachos, jerk chicken tacos, pizza puffs, fried shrimp, fried catfish, fries
  • Stone’s Famous Kettle Corn: kettle corn, cotton candy, fresh-squeezed lemonade
  • Tastea: Teriyaki chicken with rice, Asian bubble tea

Additionally, Ode to Food & Drink will provide adult and non-adult beverages, plus pulled pork sandwiches, ribs and brats.
