Are you considering taking a group fitness class, but unsure what to expect?

An introduction Saturday is the perfect way to get ready. GreatLIFE Golf & Fitness will hold Group Fitness 101  from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Woodlake Athletic Club.

“It’s going to break the classes down to the basics – what to expect, what’s the equipment you need, how to set up, and then it’s going to show you proper form and everything to get you started and give you an idea what to expect when you come to a full class,” said GreatLIFE’s Kristen Koeller.

Here’s the schedule:

  • 11:30 a.m.: BodyPump. Using light to moderate weights with lots of repetition, BodyPump gives you a total body workout.
  • 12:15 p.m.: Cycling. Experience RealRyder. Get a solid cardio workout with even more benefits: stronger core, improved balance and coordination, toned arms and legs, greater joint mobility, and improved endurance, speed and agility.
  • 12:45 p.m.: Insanity. Max interval training with insane results! Three to five minutes of intense work followed by a short break to gulp some air before you’re right back at it!
  • 1:30 p.m.: BodyPump repeated.
