Fusion restaurant Poke Picks coming to east side

Sept. 1, 2020

A new quick-service restaurant concept is coming to the east side with an Asian-Hawaiian flair.

Poke Picks will be operated by Kent Chan and plans to open its first location in the former Taco John’s space at 1609 E. 10th St. It was vacated when Taco John’s moved to a new building across the street.

“This is a Japanese-Hawaiian fusion concept that will serve an Asian-themed menu with an emphasis on poke bowls,” said broker Scott Blount of Lloyd Cos., who leased the space.

Chan plans to open three or four locations across Sioux Falls, Blount said.

“We are currently negotiating on his second location,” he said.

The hope is to open the first location in November.
