PC Gold Inc. is moving from 41st Street to Minnesota Avenue in July.

The locally owned computer sales and repair shop bought the former Hurley’s Religious Goods building at 2520 S. Minnesota Ave.

In addition to the benefits of owning the building, the new location will offer better signage, said Kevin Degroot, one of the managers.

“We kind of got lost in Gilrich Village,” he said.

The amount of retail space between the two location is similar, Degroot said. The Hurley’s building has been vacant since the business closed nine months ago.

PC Gold will be closed from June 30 through July 4, reopening in the new location July 5. Several items are on sale to make the move easier.

The business opened in 1992. It sells new and refurbished computers for personal and business use, components and cables, and does service work, including virus removal.

PC Gold is moving from 1112 W. 41st St.
