Food delivery service gives drivers gas discount to help with rising prices

April 22, 2022

Bite Squad has started a program for drivers designed to ease the increased costs they’re experiencing for gas.

The food delivery service is offering a GasCard program that gives drivers 5 percent off gas from what it calls major stations.

It’s within the drivers’ app and allows them to receive the discount.

“Drivers are an important part of our business, and the record-high gas prices are directly impacting them,” Carl Grimstad, chairman and CEO, said in a statement. “We have implemented this GasCard program as a way to help combat this issue.”

Bite Squad is adjusting its driver pay as well.

“We have heard from some drivers that they’ve seen an uptick in tips. Our loyal customers know fuel costs are affecting their pay, and many are responding. We serve great communities that really appreciate the drivers and reciprocate appropriately,” said Chris Barnes, director of driver experience, delivery logistics.
