Financial services tech company Fiserv has discontinued its operations in Sioux Falls.

The company had been at 4501 S. Technology Drive.

Company officials did not disclose how many employees are affected by the move.

“In order to best serve our clients and create career growth opportunities for our people, we’re executing against our co-location strategy for Sioux Falls,” Ann Cave, vice president of external communications, said in a statement.

“All associates based in Sioux Falls have been invited to relocate to a larger campus location to be co-located with tech, service, product, support and other capabilities all in one place. They also have the option to apply for other roles in one of our locations. Associates who choose not to continue their employment with Fiserv will have access to outplacement services and enhanced severance.”

Fiserv is a Fortune 500 company specializing in payments and financial technology, including account processing and digital banking solutions, card issuer processing and network services, payments, e-commerce, merchant acquiring and processing, and the Clover cloud-based point-of-sale and business management platform.

Fiserv’s presence in Sioux Falls evolved from its acquisition of Precision Computer Systems in 2003, which had operations here. It has operated under the Fiserv name since 2009.
