Fernson’s Totally Rad Eats opens this week

Totally Rad Eats opens Wednesday in Fernson Downtown, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner six days a week.
The new food concept is led by Beau Vonda, Fernson Brewing Co.’s new director of food and beverage operations.
The menu includes burgers, hot dogs, a BLT, chicken sandwiches, a fried mushroom sandwich, salads and options for kids.
The signature burger, Totally Rad, is one that Vondra, who had an 18-year career at Look’s Marketplace, made in the first round when he appeared on “Guy’s Grocery Games” on the Food Network in 2023. He eventually ended up winning the cooking competition.
For breakfast, there are three sandwiches, three burritos and quick-and-easy Rad Grabs like avocado toast, yogurt granola parfait, peanut butter and jelly toast, oatmeal and tots.
Breakfast will be served from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday through Sunday, pairing up with the taproom’s Fernson Coffee + Tea service, which offers a full espresso menu and starts serving at 7 a.m. Fernson Downtown, which is at 332 S. Phillips Ave., is closed on Mondays.
The lunch and dinner menu will be available after 10:30 a.m.
In the evening, the kitchen will shut down an hour before the taproom’s closing time. In that final hour, customers can still order Totally Rad pizzas, pretzel bites and other snacks.
Totally Rad Eats replaces Wagoo Burger, which had leased Fernson Downtown’s kitchen space for three years. Wagoo, which also operates a food truck, is looking for another brick-and-mortar location.
