The most expensive residential sale for the week of Dec. 27 — and the second-highest for the entire year — was $2,275,000 for a European inspired-designed estate on the east side of Brandon.

The gated property known as “Bellosquardo” was built in 2001 and sits on 6 acres overlooking Split Rock Creek and Brandon’s two golf courses. With more than 10,000 square feet, the house has five bedrooms, seven bathrooms and a six-stall garage. Features include a bar, library, theater room and indoor pool.

It also was on the market earlier this year and sold in July for $1,540,000. When it went on the market again in October, the online real estate listing described it as having a “recently updated interior with incredible attention to detail honoring the existing architectural integrity.”
