Downtown cocktail lounge starts serving lunch
Aug. 28, 2025
Downtown diners have a new option for lunch.
Glacial Lakes Distillery & Brewhouse at 200 S. Main Ave. has started opening earlier during the week and is serving wraps, salads and protein balls from the south-side health-food restaurant Daily Clean Food & Drink.
“It was an avenue we were missing out on,” general manager Lacey Zakrzewski said of opening for lunch Tuesday through Friday. “There aren’t that many options from Main to the west, and we’re in walkable distance from those businesses up there.”

For lunch, customers also can order the pizzas that Glacial Lakes has been serving at night through its partnership with Sunny’s Pizzeria, along with munchies that the bar serves like fried stuffed mushrooms and pickles, and chips and salsa.

The new lunch hours are 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
To start, Glacial Lakes is offering three wraps – Moroccan Chicken Salad, Cheeseburger and Chicken Bacon Ranch — and two salads – Daily Chop and Buffalo Rancher.

Menu offerings likely will change every few months, she said, adding that the two businesses might partner on a signature item.
The Daily items are served in grab-and-go containers, but the bar will plate them by request, Zakrzewski said. They’re also available whenever the cocktail lounge is open.

The partnership with Glacial Lakes is Daily’s first with another food and drink establishment, restaurant owner Shaley Bolks said. Daily, which is at 6215 S. Western Ave., previously has done offerings and fitness studios and clinics.
Daily, which was featured on “Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives” with celebrity chef Guy Fieri in 2021, is known for its healthy menu options.

“We source local and whole food ingredients and craft all our own dressings and sauces to be gluten- and dairy-free as we know so many have these dietary restrictions,” Bolks said. “While we’re offering only a portion of our menu at Glacial Lakes, our brick-and-mortar location at 69th and Western offers a wide range of fare, from pizzas and burgers to salads, acai bowls and coffee, and we cater to all kinds of dietary restrictions.”
For lunch at Glacial Lakes, there also are seven options from Sunny’s Pizzieria, which are baked to order.

The bar’s menu of munchies, which were added earlier this summer, are crafted by assistant general manager Sean Gonzalez, who has a background in the restaurant industry and puts “his heart and soul into the food,” Zakrzewski said.
Glacial Lakes’ cocktail lounge, which just marked its fourth anniversary, features drinks made with the spirits that it crafts. The full bar is available at lunch, along with nonalcoholic beverages.

“We’ve added a couple of mocktails,” Zakrzewski said. “Most people don’t drink on their lunch break, so this is an opportunity to bring them something fun and unique.”
Among those offerings are Chai Blossom featuring Chai tea syrup and lime juice and Rhubarb Soda featuring strawberry rhubarb syrup and club soda.

The cocktail lounge opens at noon on the weekend and is closed on Mondays.
