Find pre-loved clothing, home goods and decor, or take home fresh flowers at a new business in Dell Rapids.

Lilac & Loom opened earlier this month at 507 N. Highway 77.

“We have brand-name clothes, shoes, bags, with furniture, and flowers on the side for funerals, weddings or special events in town,” owner Lacey Harrington said.

Harrington is no stranger to owning a business.

She had another consignment store, Nyla Jo’s, in 2019 but, like many other local businesses, was forced to shut down during the pandemic in 2020.

“The original place we thought about doing the first one was still open, so it worked out well,” she said.

Harrington wanted to do something similar but added the florals based on demand in the area.

“Whether we’re in a pandemic or not, there will always be a need for flowers.”

Lilac & Loom offers fresh floral arrangements based on the client’s request, budget, color preference, event or occasion. Future plans include a larger cooler space so more flowers are available for walk-in customers.

“I’ve always loved being creative and making people feel special,” she said.

A ribbon cutting is scheduled for Dec. 12.
