Family and work.

What keeps you in Sioux Falls?

Work and family.

What’s your favorite thing about your job?  

I enjoy problem-solving production equipment issues and analytical instrumentation the most. Basically, I really like to fix things!

What made you decide to become part of your family business?

I was offered the opportunity to initiate and manage the new specialty gases division of the family business by my father. I enjoy being able to apply my chemical engineering education and research mind-set to multiple aspects of the manufacturing process and chemical analyses.

What do you think people might be surprised to learn about your business?

Our specialty gases laboratory is accredited to the International Organization for Standardization ISO 17025:2005 standard for chemical calibration and testing.

What’s one business you’d like to see in Sioux Falls that isn’t here now?

A dedicated, full-size indoor climbing gym.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

I plan to continue advancing the overall quality of operations at A-OX and traveling more frequently to expand our national presence with the PurityPlus specialty gases brand.
