Carpenter Bar open for business

This piece is presented by The Carpenter Bar.

The Carpenter Bar has opened, bringing signature cocktails and a distinctive new option to Phillips Avenue.

The bar inside the historic Carpenter Building between 10th and 11th streets has been extensively renovated, with an emphasis on quality finishes and an inviting atmosphere.

“Guests will discover we have really thought through every detail of their experience,” co-owner Anne Haber said. “From our seating, to our carefully selected menu, we want you have an exceptional visit here.”

The bar and tables use reclaimed marble from the Carpenter basement. There’s also new paint, flooring, leather seating, lighting and decorative fixtures.

“From top to bottom, everything is different,” Haber said. “We don’t think there’s another setting like this in Sioux Falls.”

The menu includes a variety of signature cocktails as well as house nuts and an artisan cheese and charcuterie board.

“We’re proud to offer a carefully crafted menu of outstanding cocktails to suit every taste, along with a fine selection of foods to complement our beverages,” co-owner Brian White said. “We will adjust our menu somewhat seasonally to ensure we’re always incorporating the freshest ingredients and responding to our guests.”

The Carpenter Bar at 215 S. Phillips Ave. opens at 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
