After almost seven years in business, Dart Boutique is closing.

The last day for the business at The Bridges of 57th will be June 14.

Owner Leslie Dolby began the business in Tea before moving to south Sioux Falls in 2022.

In a message on her business’ website, Dolby talked about how she struggled to make the store profitable. In the past year, she began working in education as a way to support her family and realized she enjoyed working with high school students. She’s now going back to school to earn a master’s degree in special education.

“Being a business owner is just a chapter in my book of life,” she said. “If you had asked me how I felt about it (closing the store) one year ago, I would have immediately started sobbing.  But today, I have the confidence to say that I’m proud of what I accomplished and that I’m at peace with my decision. I’m ready to move on and begin a new adventure in my life.”

The remaining hours for the store at 5015 S. Western Ave., Suite 170, will be:

• Today from 2 to 8 p.m.
• Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• June 5-7 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• June 13-14 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

All merchandise is 40 percent off, and all fixtures also are for sale.
