All Day Cafe to reopen after adjusting for shortage of cooks

Aug. 26, 2022

All Day Cafe will reopen Saturday after a two-day closure because of a shortage of cooks.

While the restaurant on the north side of the Western Mall still needs to hire more line cooks, management and staff worked together to come up with a plan to cover the shortages, said Don Anderson, president of WR Hospitality.

A couple of the servers will help in the kitchen, he said. The restaurant also will be closed on Mondays and close one hour earlier most days. New hours are 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.

Anderson also corrected information he provided for a news story Thursday: The starting wage for positions such as bussers and dishwashers is $14 to $15 an hour, and the restaurant is advertising pay for line cooks at $16 to $19.
