Aldi has closed on land and taken out a building permit for its fourth Sioux Falls location.

The grocery store will be at Career Avenue and 60th Street North in northwest Sioux Falls, just east of Northstar Grill & Pub. The address is 4201 W. 61st Circle N.

Aldi was attracted by “all the recent explosive growth in the area.” said Raquel Blount of Lloyd Cos., who played a role in the deal.

“With the development and new apartments and housing growth, Jefferson High School, it’s such a strong growth area of the market,” she said. “It’s one of few areas with access to water and sewer for growth and development.”

Construction is likely to start immediately, Blount said. Aldi has not confirmed any timelines on opening.

The fourth store will round out the grocer’s presence in the Sioux Falls market, where it already has stores on the east side, south side and near The Empire Mall.

However, “I wouldn’t say it’s going to be their last one,” Blount said.
