One home topped the million-dollar mark and another reached it for the top 10 most expensive residential sales for the week of Aug. 21.

The top sale was $1.2 million for a home, barn and other outbuildings on 60 acres north of Sioux Falls. The 2,700-square-foot house was built in 1945 and has four bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The No. 2 sale was $1 million for a new lakefront home in Brandon. The 4,000-square-foot two-story house has six bedrooms and four bathrooms. The backyard features a private sand beach.
