Ace Hardware opens in Harrisburg

April 27, 2018

Ace Hardware has opened in Harrisburg, providing do-it-yourself customers with everything from tools and paint to lawn care and household items.

The new store with 11,500-square-feet of retail space is just east of Fareway. It’s owned by J.W. Niederauer Inc., which also has Ace Hardware businesses in Tea, Lennox, Brandon, Dell Rapids and Sisseton.

Hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays, 8 am. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Managing partner Fred Rosin said he hopes to have the garden center with flower and vegetable plants open by this weekend.

The store also offers a variety of services. Here are just a few of them: It sells hunting and fishing licenses; repairs windows, screens and small engines; cuts glass and keys; and rents out lawn and general construction equipment and home-improvement tools.

A grand opening will be held the first weekend in June.
