Hy-Vee upgrades, rebrands stores in Tea, Harrisburg
Jan. 6, 2026
Dollar Fresh Market locations in Tea and Harrisburg have been upgraded and rebranded as Hy-Vee stores.

The store upgrades include bakery departments, a full-service meat counter, HealthMarket sections and improved produce departments. Additional Hy-Vee Mealtime offerings are available, including Mia Italian take-and-bake pizzas and grab-and-go sandwiches and salads.

Hy-Vee noted that the stores have more than 16,000 new items.

The Iowa-based grocer introduced the Dollar Fresh Market concept in 2018, seeking to compete with dollar stores in rural areas. The Harrisburg and Tea locations opened in November 2021.

Not all Dollar Fresh Markets are being converted, a Hy-Vee spokesperson said. Two others recently made the change, leaving 18 locations. At the peak, there were 25 Dollar Fresh stores.
Ribbon-cuttings are being held this week and will include gift card giveaways.
Tea’s event will be at 11:30 a.m. today at 725 E. First St.
Harrisburg’s event will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at 210 E. Willow St.
