Sanford Health

Sanford Health senior vice president and chief information officer Brad Reimer was a featured speaker at the Newsweek Digital Health Care Forum earlier this month in New York City. Reimer was part of the panel The Business Case for Tech and Innovation, which explored the financial calculus behind tech investments and how digital information can drive efficiency and reduce costs.

Sanford USD Medical Center

Sanford USD Medical Center has been included as one of Money’s Best Hospitals for Bariatric Surgery 2025. The list recognizes 75 hospitals across the country for their excellence in bariatric care. Key indicators of quality for weight-loss surgeries include exceptional outcomes, patient satisfaction and safety records.

Megan Hayes

Alternative HR

Megan Hayes has joined Alternative HR as a human resources consultant. She has seven years of experience in leadership and organizational development, most recently serving as the HR director for a senior living community.

 

Associated General Contractors of South Dakota

The Associated General Contractors of South Dakota has received the AGC of America Medium Chapter of the Year Award, a national honor recognizing its contributions to advancing the construction industry. AGC of South Dakota has more than 400 members and industry leaders, who work to drive progress, support workforce development and champion the profession across the state. AGC of America has produced a video showcasing the South Dakota chapter’s impact and achievements.

David Bangasser

Dacotah Bank

David Bangasser, senior vice president chief banking officer at Dacotah Bank, has announced his retirement, effective Jan. 2, 2026. He began the transition Sept. 1, becoming a senior adviser. Bangasser started his career in 1982 at Western Bank and worked at three other banks before joining Dacotah Bank in 1995.

With Bangasser’s coming retirement, the bank has promoted two executives:

Matt Smith

Jerry Tveidt

Jerry Tveidt from regional president to senior vice president community banking.

Matt Smith to regional president, also continuing as Sioux Falls market president.

Two additional staff members have been promoted to market vice presidents.

David O’Hara

Galen Van Otterloo

Galen VanOtterloo joined Dacotah Bank’s business banking team in Sioux Falls in 2016 after working at U.S. Bank for 12 years.

David O’Hara of Hartford joined Dacotah four years ago as a senior agricultural lender. Previously, he worked for 17 years at U.S. Bank.

Tim Carlson

Savills

Tim Carlson, an executive managing director at Savills, is licensed now in South Dakota to directly assist tenants with real estate needs.

 

Security Savings Bank

Security Savings Bank has added two staff members.

Blaine Fopma is a mortgage loan officer. Fopma has 20 years of experience in banking and has spent 15 of those years as a mortgage lender.

Steve Wiebenga is a mortgage underwriter in Sioux Falls. Wiebenga has more than 25 years of experience working in finance and lending, spending the past 15 years as a mortgage underwriter.

Ryan Tysdal

Ryan Tysdal of Van Buskirk Cos. has been selected as a member of the Site Source Retail Broker Network. Site Source has 42 member offices across the country, providing a national network of experienced commercial brokers to share local market knowledge.
