“From a fashion show to a music showcase, the event features emerging and established Indigenous designers, models and musicians across multiple genres,” said Rose Ann Hofland, vice president of programming.

Throughout the day, you’ll find a visual artist showcase at nearby Rehfeld’s Art & Farming, interactive children’s activities from the SD Art Museum, Children’s Museum of South Dakota, Old Courthouse Museum, and lacrosse with Woneyah Red Eagle.
At 7 p.m., listen to the sounds of headliner Mato Wayuhi, an Oglala Lakota artist originally from South Dakota.
Wayuhi works in film and TV as an actor, producer, and musical composer, most notably composing music for the award-winning FX/Hulu series Reservation Dogs. He is also featured on the 2023 Forbes 30 Under 30 list for Hollywood & Entertainment. His most recent album, STANKFACE STANDING SOLDIER, is an entirely self-produced record that brings Indigenous music to a new era.
“We also are doing outreach with him in the Sioux Falls School District and at SDSU with the Wokini Initiative to discuss his story as a Native American singer/songwriter,” Hofland said.
You’ll also find four food trucks at the event and a vendor fair featuring more than two dozen participants.
“We’re excited for a fun day of culture, interactive activities and entertainment for all ages,” Hofland said.
