With the cut of a ribbon, Maguire’s new headquarters in northeast Sioux Falls officially is open for business.

The family-owned, Sioux Falls-based company is an industry leader in water tank construction and maintenance. Recently, more than 400 people gathered to celebrate the grand opening of its state-of-the-art headquarters.

The campus at 2001 E. Rober Drive includes a 70,000-square-foot fabrication facility, offices and a mechanic shop.

Hosted in the parking lot of the new fabrication facility, the grand opening featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Greater Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce, family-friendly attractions like inflatable bounce houses and a showcase of local flavors from Look’s Marketplace and Fernson Brewing Co. The Undercover Band provided live entertainment throughout the evening, energizing the crowd and creating a festival-like atmosphere.

Gene Jones Jr., CEO of Maguire, addressed the crowd during the ribbon-cutting ceremony, expressing his gratitude and excitement.

“Today, we continue to be a force for good in the water industry, and we take a bold step into the future while holding firm to the values that brought us here,” he said.

“This new campus is not just a building. It is a reflection of these values. It is an investment in our people — in their talent, in their safety, in their opportunity to innovate and grow. With world-class training facilities, collaborative workspaces and advanced technology, this campus will allow us to keep raising the bar in the water tank industry, pushing forward the same spirit of craftsmanship and innovation that began over 100 years ago.”

Maguire moved onto the new campus in August 2024 and already is seeing the successes the space was designed to produce.

“We are excited for the future of Maguire,” president Scott Jones said. “This new campus is built for our team members. They are the heart and soul of Maguire. This space is designed to inspire, equip and support them as we continue to grow as an industry leader in water infrastructure.”

Following the ceremony, guests were invited to tour the main office and fabrication facility, which showcases Maguire’s continued investment in cutting-edge technology and employee-centric design.

The new facility also is recognized internationally, earning Maguire the distinction of being the first company in South Dakota to achieve Fitwel Certification — a global building standard designed to improve the health and well-being of the people who work in and around the buildings on campus. Achieving this certification reflects a commitment to creating environments that promote physical, mental and social well-being for employees.

“Being the first in South Dakota to earn Fitwel Certification is a testament to how seriously we take the health, safety and well-being of our people,” Scott Jones said. “This new campus is more than a workplace — it’s a place where ideas thrive, careers grow and the future of fabrication is being built.”

With deep roots in Sioux Falls and a forward-thinking approach, Maguire continues to position itself at the forefront of its industry. The grand-opening event served not only as a celebration of a new facility but also as a reflection of the company’s ongoing commitment to innovation, community and excellence.

U.S. Sen. John Thune of South Dakota also toured the Maguire campus and was impressed with how the company has continued to grow its national footprint while maintaining its family legacy.

“Maguire is a great family business success story,” Thune said. “The new building and expansion project are a great expression of that and how successful this company and family have been for decades. We want to see that continue, and I am excited for what the future holds for Maguire.”

Maguire is growing and always looking for talented team members who want to make a difference and help communities store and protect quality water. For a list of current openings, click here.
