TEDxSiouxFalls announces speaker lineup

Eight speakers have been chosen for the next TEDxSiouxFalls event.
It will be April 17 at the Mary W. Sommervold Hall in the Washington Pavilion.
Speakers include:
- Dr. Andrea Powell: How Identity Influences Adaptation to Sport Retirement.
- Jon Carda: The Stories Crimes Tell: Listening Beyond the Evidence.
- Dr. Melissa Dittberner: Seeing the Unseen: Redefining Healthcare Through Street Medicine.
- Nick Wendell: Notes on Survival.
- Abiah George: An American Nightmare.
- Lisa Groon: Phones in the Freezer: Finding Joy and Dignity in Alzheimer’s.
- Kade Wells: Dungeons and Dragons as Education and Therapy.
- Hannah Boquet: How Esports Are a Parenting Power-up.

“We are beyond excited to showcase these eight remarkable speakers at TEDxSiouxFalls 2025,” said Wendy Mamer, co-lead organizer of the event.
“This year, we received a record-breaking 178 applications, reflecting the community’s enthusiasm and commitment to sharing innovative ideas. Our selected speakers embody the spirit of TEDx, and we can’t wait for them to inspire and engage our audience.”
