41st Street Pizza Ranch to expand FunZone
July 9, 2019
The Pizza Ranch on West 41st Street will start renovations soon that include a larger arcade.
Eight to ten new games will be added to the FunZone, according to owner Todd Pharis.
To accommodate the new additions, a wall will be knocked down to expand the floor space by 50 percent. The entire FunZone also will be recarpeted. Pharis said he expects the renovations to take about 60 days, finishing by mid-September.
Among the new games is the FunZone’s first virtual reality game — Virtual Rabbids: The Big Ride. Requiring no attendants, the game allows two players to strap into a roller coaster brought to life by VR headsets. Players can choose from a wide variety of tracks and environments for their experience.
Pharis said the renovations are a welcome addition that customers will appreciate.
“It will add to their experience of going out to eat for families and large groups,” he said. “Customers will have a great experience with VR games and the newest games you can find anywhere in America.”
The location at 41st Street and Kiwanis Avenue was ranked top in the company last year, serving 30,000 customers monthly.
