A Mexican restaurant with locations throughout Nebraska and Iowa is coming to Sioux Falls.

Abelardo’s Mexican Fresh is taking the former Jim’s Burgers location at 1200 S. Minnesota Ave., which previously was a KFC.

Abelardo’s is a 24-hour restaurant with drive-thru service and a large menu of tacos, burritos, quesadillas, tortas, nachos, tostadas, enchiladas and side dishes. It includes a breakfast menu and many combination plates.

The owner said he could open the Sioux Falls location as soon as next week. There are 11 locations in Nebraska, including several in the Omaha area, and six in Iowa, including several in the Des Moines area.
