It has been two months since two Sioux Falls digital marketing agencies announced a new partnership, and they’re already making waves.

Click Rain and Lemonly joined forces to pool talent and upgrade their package of digital services for clients — comprising the largest digital marketing force in South Dakota.

While Click Rain has offered a wide range of digital marketing and web design services, Lemonly has built a more specialized reputation through infographics, animation and content marketing.

But how will the new partnership work in practice?

Since the announcement, both companies have begun sharing several executive team members. Lemonly CEO John Meyer is getting his feet wet with Click Rain’s operations, while Chris Prendergast, Click Rain partner and chief strategy officer, has begun spending more time among the “Lemonheads,” as the Lemonly team refers to themselves.

The objective? Uncover opportunities for collaboration — points of overlap in projects or services where either company could augment the other and provide clients with more robust solutions.

Collaboration has already begun. For example: Lemonly now plans to offer enhanced, responsive infographics by partnering with Click Rain’s development team — a team that has spent years creating responsive websites.

Kaitlyn Martinez, senior web developer at Click Rain, was the first employee to be enlisted. “The crossover makes perfect sense. I take the static image and animation files Lemonly provides and combine them into a webpage that can be added to the client’s website.”

Additional collaborations could include infographic packages to accompany website launches, new visual microcontent for client campaigns, ongoing content strategy and creation retainers, and interactive infographics enhanced with analytics.

Molly O’Connor, a visual designer at Lemonly, said she’s excited by the new doors this partnership will open.

“With our combined talents, we will be able to attract an even broader audience. There’s no telling what we will accomplish. I’m especially looking forward to learning from the experts at Click Rain and collectively making the work we produce even better.”

Clients of the new duo have much to gain, but so do employees. For over a decade, both Click Rain and Lemonly have pioneered progressive and people-first approaches to workplace culture. And that’s not about to change.

The partnership combines employee perks as well as talents; each team will enjoy a synthesis of benefits that promote personal and professional well-being, in addition to a host of new like-minded colleagues and friends.

“Neither organization is successful without the strength of its people,” Prendergast said. This shared culture, camaraderie between teams and employee satisfaction will stay constantly in focus.

Click Rain and Lemonly will remain distinct sister companies, united by a vision to raise the standards in digital marketing and become a top employer in the region.
