Southeast Technical College has entered into an alliance with Arizona State University.

The relationship creates a way for students to transfer using the MyPath2ASU program.

MyPath2ASU is a set of customized tools available to transfer students from accredited U.S. regional institutions. Students earning credits or an associate degree from Southeast Tech will be able to use the program to shorten the time to degree completion.

“We are excited to offer our students and graduates another viable pathway to complete their career objectives,” Benjamin Valdez, STC’s vice president of academic affairs, said in a statement. “This partnership will streamline the transfer experience for those wishing to continue their education through one of the many great programs at ASU.”

The goal is for a simplified process with access to personalized benefits, Southeast Tech said. Those include:

• End-to-end learner navigation through course-by-course guided pathways.
• Ensuring course applicability by assisting students with taking courses that apply to their associate and ASU bachelor’s degree.
• Guaranteed general admission to ASU and admission into MyPath2ASU major choice if all requirements are satisfied; some majors have additional or higher admission requirements.
• More than 400 course-by-course guided pathways into immersion and online ASU degree programs.
• Self-service degree progress tracking through My Transfer Guide to minimize loss of credit.
• Connected experience through personalized ASU communications to prepare academically and build a connection to ASU.

ASU and Southeast Technical College said they plan to work collaboratively to promote educational degree pathways containing ground and online course offerings. The goal is ensure courses are applicable toward degrees in a chosen major and minimize credit loss.
