The new Roots of Brasil has been closed since last week’s derecho damaged HVAC equipment on the side of the building at Eighth and Weber. The unit is connected to the kitchen hood, so the restaurant can’t reopen until it’s working. Co-owner Mark Gillespie said they hope to be back in operation June 1.

The Chilean sea bass is poached and served with crispy pancetta and apple fennel sauce with wild rice and roasted local mushrooms.

After a social media outcry from fans, the Mexican Pizza is back on the menu at Taco Bell. There is also a vegetarian version without the seasoned beef.
