Northwestern Mutual honored by national office with $100,000 in grants

The Sioux Falls office of Northwestern Mutual has been selected as a recipient of the Northwestern Mutual Foundation’s 2019 Childhood Cancer Impact Awards.

Each year, the company recognizes its network offices for their dedication and overall contributions to support the fight against childhood cancer through volunteerism and fundraising.

By winning this year, the Sioux Falls office will be able to give $100,000 in grants to childhood cancer-related organizations.

It presented a $67,000 check to the Sanford Health Foundation Sept. 6 at the at the annual Camp Bring It On! golf tournament. The funds will be used to support Sanford Children’s Cure Kids Cancer program, including lifesaving, state-of-the-art equipment, direct patient assistance, Camp Bring it On! and the Child Life program.

Since 2016, the Northwestern team has given more than 13,700 community service hours and raised more than $115,000 toward childhood cancer.
