Today’s update includes a total of 31,696 cases in Minnehaha County, eight more than the previous report, and 8,709 cases in Lincoln County, four more.

South Dakota has 391 active cases, 25 fewer than the previous report. The state total includes 121,761 people who are reported as having recovered, an increase of 76.

There are 49 people hospitalized, the same as the previous report. According to the report, there are 30 patients in the hospital with COVID-19 between Avera McKennan and Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls. Of those, five are in intensive care.

The total number that are or have been hospitalized is 7,588 people, an increase of 11.

There have been 355,197 negative tests statewide, an increase of 375.

Across the state, 350,416 people have received a COVID-19 vaccine through the state’s allocation, an increase of 633 from the previous report. The number of doses administered has reached 651,929, with 321,522 people being fully vaccinated.

So far, 54 percent of eligible South Dakotans have received at least one dose, and 49 percent of the population is fully vaccinated. Those percentages include state and federal allocations of vaccine.

The state reported 34 new COVID-19 cases today, bringing the total to 124,105.

The total number that are or have been hospitalized is 7,577 people, an increase of five.

There have been 354,822 negative tests statewide, an increase of 414.

Across the state, 349,738 people have received a COVID-19 vaccine through the state’s allocation, an increase of 876 from the previous report. The number of doses administered has reached 650,067, with 320,293 people being fully vaccinated.
