In the world of digital marketing, your website is a critical element in driving the success of your company. At Click Rain, we’ve developed top-quality websites for companies across our region for over 15 years. Every day, we strive to be better and continue to stay up to date with the latest and most effective practices while delivering impactful results.

Strong foundation

A website can only be as good as the content management system it’s built in. We’ve done our due diligence, and Craft is our preferred CMS. We’ve outlined all the reasons why in this blog. This year, Click Rain became one of only four large web development agencies in the U.S. to be a Craft Verified Partner. This partnership is a benefit to our clients because it allows us to have a stronger connection to the platform, advocate for new solutions and be informed of new features and upgrades. Not to mention, it has enabled our team of developers to continue to bring the best solutions to our clients’ websites.

Within the Craft community, our team is helping lead the way with web accessibility best practices and implementation, and our associate director of web development, Kaitlyn Martinez, spoke at Craft’s international conference earlier this month in Barcelona, Spain. We’re also providing new development solutions to the Craft community in the plug-in store by recently releasing a global plug-in for our local-listing platform, Stratus.

With a strong foundation for building top-performing sites, we are continuing to innovate and stay up to date on the latest best practices to deliver the best solutions to our clients.

Impact of innovation

Let’s be honest: The world has gone fully digital. That’s why we say that your website is the front door to your business. It creates your customers’ first impression when they find you while searching online. It’s our strong belief that a website should never be a “set-it-and-forget-it” kind of project but rather become an active part of your digital marketing and sales funnel. It’s something that needs to be continuously tended to as your business and the world grow and evolve.

To ensure that the websites we’re building continue to meet the demands of today, our team constantly is bringing new solutions. Here are a few recent ways we have been creating more innovative options for our clients.

Personalized web content: Most website personalization is created through the use of a third-party platform and expensive monthly fees. However, at Click Rain, we understand the value and importance of personalization and have developed technology within our web content management system to allow for a personalization strategy built directly into any new website.

Through website personalization, we can change the header images, copy or calls to action based on the behaviors of website visitors. For example, if someone comes to a website through a digital ad such as a social media ad, display banner, etc., we can ensure that the header image and copy on the landing page align with the creative shown in the ad. Another example is that if someone has shown interest in a specific section of a website such as a key service or product, we can feature that information more prominently to that specific web visitor through updating header images or calls to action.

This technology and content relevancy is important because it makes such an impact on the results of a client’s website. We’ve seen significant increases in overall website engagement — the time spent on the site and amount of pages visited — and even more importantly, significant increases in revenue-driving conversions when website personalization is implemented.

SaaS product development: As a team of digital marketers, we’ve long understood the pain points and frustrations of updating Google Business Profile accounts and managing online reviews. Those pain points were one of the driving forces for why our team of product developers built and launched Stratus, a local listing and online review management platform. All the pain points our team felt when updating Google Business Profile hours and information and getting approvals for responding to online reviews were solved with Stratus. This platform is built to help manage and grow online reviews, which play a crucial role in how consumers decide which companies to do business with.

Recently, we’ve taken Stratus one step further by integrating online reviews directly onto client websites. Through a new Craft CMS plug-in, anyone with a Stratus account and Craft website easily can sync their online reviews to pull into specific pages on their website. This means that your rave reviews can get in front of the eyes of even more of your customers, potentially increasing your chance at conversions. By integrating reviews into a website, you’re removing a research step for prospective customers by providing them with authentic insight and reviews directly on your website. The Stratus/Craft plug-in also helps ensure that your website is becoming an even more integrated piece of your sales and marketing funnel.

The digital landscape is changing constantly and bringing new opportunities to the forefront. Whether it’s through strengthening existing partnerships, personalizing content to drive website engagement or developing products to make marketers’ lives a little easier, our team of developers is spearheading innovative ways to make websites more integral in driving bottom-line metrics for our clients.
