Chase Bank has opened its fourth location in Sioux Falls — and this one is in the heart of downtown.

The bank moved into a renovated space on the first floor of Shriver Square at 11th Street and Phillips Avenue. It’s on the north side of the building, where Chef Dominique’s Catering & Banquet Facility and The Cookie Jar Eatery used to be. Chef Dominique moved to a different first-floor space, and Cookie Jar is at the Lumber Exchange on Reid Street.

The new space for Chase is “absolutely beautiful,” branch manager Mayra Abogado said. “It’s stunning.”

The bank is fully staffed with seven people and will offer a full range of services, she said.

“We have that aura of being a very modern bank when you walk in, and we want to make sure our clients know we have everything for their banking needs,” Abogado said. “It is a great location. I think we are in the heart of Sioux Falls just being here on Phillips Avenue.”

She most recently helped open the location at 26th Street and Sycamore Avenue.

Chase has been in the Sioux Falls market for more than two years.

“It’s been outstanding,” said Matthew Gustafson, greater Minneapolis and South Dakota market director. “All three of the original locations have had very strong responses from customers since the day they opened. … They have definitely exceeded my expectations with performance but also the customer response.”

Chase has wanted to find a location downtown, he said.

“I think Phillips Avenue … is a great place to be,” he said. “I stay here every time I’m in town. I get to walk around and visit the restaurants and shops, and (the branch is in) very close proximity to all the shops. It’s great to have four locations and just makes it that much more convenient.”

The branch also includes an ATM and depository accessible off the main entrance.

Hours for the downtown location are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
