The doors are open at a major expansion to Montgomery’s Sioux Falls location.

The family-owned home furnishings retailer integrated its building at 1725 W. 41st St. into the neighboring former Conlin’s Furniture.

That allows for a fresh, expanded, design-forward experience for customers, along with a new area for its growing line of “smart comfort” furniture and a new clearance center.

“This opening represents a new chapter for Montgomery’s,” said Eric Sinclair, owner and president. “We’ve always believed in helping people feel good about the spaces they live in. This expansion allows us to do that in a bigger, more intentional way.”

While Montgomery’s has offered flooring, lighting and blinds, along with complimentary design services, the additional 17,500 square feet allows for expanded displays, greater selection and easier access for customers — especially with a new, convenient entrance off 41st Street.

The expanded showroom offers flooring, lighting and window treatments, along with a broader assortment of furniture.

With the added space, Montgomery’s also is able to introduce more value-focused price points directly on the main showroom floor with a new clearance center, giving customers more options no matter their budget.

The expansion highlights Montgomery’s position as a leader in immersive motion furniture as well.

The new Smart Comfort display, exclusive to Montgomery’s, showcases the latest in reclining technology, including immersive sound, heat and massage, allowing customers to experience comfort in an entirely new way.

Store hours for Montgomery’s are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.
